- Great Britain some
Summary
War reparations where set so high for Germany so that the Germans could never pay it back, this meaning they would never have the money for another devastating war like World War 1. The French wanted the biggest amount of reparations for the war setting the bar so high it would take the Germans a lifetime to repay. The British on the other hand wanted some reparations, but also wanted the Germans to stay on there feet as they wanted to expand into Germany to expand the British Empire. Finally the USA wanted the Germans as a trading partner.
Subjunctive Question
If the reparations from World War 1 were set at a drastically smaller amount would World War 2 be a more high scaled War or would it counter act the War and build a better relationship showing leniency?
